Circle of Women Table Captains
To fill a room with 1,000 women and men, we recruit table captains who commit to filling a table of ten. Through these individual efforts, combined with sponsorship dollars, we hope to raise more than $250,000 over one lunch hour!
Once you're on board, you'll receive a confirmation email. In early January, we will also send you a Circle of Women table captain's packet, printed or electronic invitations for you to personalize, as well as detailed instructions.
What is the Circle of Women?
The Circle of Women is an opportunity to gather your friends, family, and co-workers for a luncheon to hear about how the YWCA helps our community, network and become a philanthropist. It is an inspiring and fun event. At the end of the luncheon guests are asked to make a pledge of at least $100 to the YWCA Madison. Given monthly, that's just $8.33 to support life-changing YWCA programs.
When is the Circle of Women?
February 23, 2017 — Registration begins at 11:30 am and the program begins promptly at noon. The program ends by 1:30 p.m.
Where is the Circle of Women?
Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center
How do I recruit my friends to come to the luncheon?
In early January, you will receive a packet of information with detailed instructions on the process. This packet will include invitations you can personalize and send to your friends and ideas for recruiting other guests. You can also choose to receive your invitations and table captain materials electronically.
Can I host a "virtual" table?
Yes. If you are unable to attend, you can recruit your friends to make contributions to the YWCA.
What if I am having trouble filling my table with 10 guests?
The YWCA staff and Circle of Women committee will work with you to help fill a table. You can pair up with a friend so each of you invite four people to join you at a table.
Are men allowed at the event?
Definitely! While it's called Circle of Women, we welcome men to join us. Many men attend the event each year.
