Quick LInks

JobRide is an innovative program that provides transportation for low-income people going to/from work. Key elements of JobRide include:

  • Pre-scheduled shuttles available 24/7 throughout Dane County to meet rider needs. Vans must have a minimum of 4 riders per load to go on the road.
  • Riders agree to use service for a minimum of 4 months from the day of their first ride. Riders may sign up for Guaranteed Ride Home through the City of Madison’s Rideshare, etc. program.
  • Pre-scheduled shuttle 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. every night of the year throughout Dane County. No minimum number of riders per load required. Riders agree to use service on a monthly basis. Riders may sign up for Guaranteed Ride Home through the City of Madison’s Rideshare program.
  • On-demand rideshare 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. every night of the year within the City and Town of Madison. Riders call the Rideline (316-6888) after 8 p.m. the night they want a ride and rides are scheduled on a first-call, first-serve basis. Because this program is operated in conjunction with YW Transit’s Sexual Assault Prevention Program, all users of this service must be those at risk of sexual assault. No ride is guaranteed.

Fares

Riders agree to pay the appropriate fare by the payment deadline. Fares will be paid by placing cash or a money order written to “YWCA Madison” in the vehicle’s drop box. Riders will not be permitted to ride if the fare is not paid. Rider fares and due dates are as follows:

Pre-scheduled One-Way Rides* $60/month
Pre-scheduled Roundtrip Rides* $120/month
One-Time Rides* $3.00/trip

*Price is only for within Madison Metropolitan Area (Madison, Middleton, Monona, & Fitchburg). Rides to/from other locations will be pro-rated based on mileage. If your income is over 200% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines fares will increase based on income.

Half of the monthly fares are due on the 1st and the 15th of each month or on the day of the first scheduled ride following the 1st and the 15th. One-time ride fares are due upon boarding the vehicle.
