YWCA Madison is seeking candidates for a Receptionist/Program Assistant for our new Southside location opening this September. Join our team as we increase our visibility and accessibility in the S. Park St. area.
The Empowerment Center Receptionist/Program Assistant (EC Assistant) is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, excellent customer service and smooth operations at the YWCA Empowerment Center (EC) for program participants, visitors, vendors and staff. The EC Assistant provides front desk and telephone customer service duties, serves as a point of contact for program participants and directs visitors and callers to appropriate personnel and resources. The EC Assistant also provides office and clerical support to staff and programs based at the EC, working as a team member with all EC staff and volunteers as well as Front Desk staff at the downtown location. The EC Assistant provides culturally inclusive, trauma informed service and incorporates best practice techniques into the position.
This is a hourly .9% FTE, 36 hrs. /week position, Mondays – Fridays. The hourly rate is $13-$15/hr. Excellent benefits package with generous paid time off.
