Employment Services & Transit Director

YWCA Madison is seeking candidates for an Employment Services and Transit Director.

The Employment Services and Transit Director is a member of the executive team and is responsible for the management and supervision of YWCA employment training, placement, retention and transportation services. The Employment Services Director is responsible for the management, development and supervision of programs to assist unemployed and underemployed community members to reach living-wage employment through programs that are culturally inclusive, trauma-informed and incorporate best practices.

The Employment Services and Transit Director Develops and supervises employment-related programs, including YWeb Career Academy, YW Transit and Driver’s License Recovery, works with YWCA staff and community agencies and businesses to develop and manage new and innovative Employment Programs, develops and implements program criteria and procedures, and evaluates program effectiveness, is aware of changing needs of populations served and opportunities for appropriate staff training and inter-agency cooperation and ensures effective program operations and compliance with funder requirements, goals and expectations.

This is a full-time (36 hours per week), salaried position. We offer an excellent benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have A bachelor’s degree from a college or university; or four to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years’ supervisory/management experience.
