Housing Locator/Evening Shelter Case Manager

YWCA Madison is seeking candidates for a .55FTE, hourly Housing Locator/Evening Shelter Case Manager. Hours desired are 20 hours/week, usually between 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Competitive salary range.

The YWCA Housing Locator/Evening Shelter Case Manager is responsible for assisting YWCA Madison’s current Housing Locator in maintaining relationships with Dane County property owners and managers in order to increase availability and accessibility of housing for families experiencing homelessness. The YWCA Housing Locator/Evening Shelter Case Manager will also assist with educating property owners/managers about housing programs and raising awareness about YWCA Madison and our partners. Additionally, the YWCA Housing Locator/Evening Shelter Case Manager will provide case management to assist homeless families in finding housing and help them overcome any barriers that may lead to future episodes of homelessness.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in case management techniques, landlord/tenant law, low-income and subsidized housing programs, mental health, trauma, AODA, poverty issues and knowledge of resources available to low-income households. Additionally, the candidate will also possess excellent relationship building and record keeping skills. Ideally, the candidate will be bilingual/bi-cultural in English/Spanish.
