YWCA Madison is seeking candidates for a Housing Director.
The YWCA Housing Director is a member of the executive team and is responsible for the management and supervision of YWCA housing and housing-related programs, both in the YWCA facility located at 101 East Mifflin Street, at the new Tree Lane Permanent Supportive Housing facility, and in privately owned apartments in the community. The Housing Director ensures that Housing programs advance the mission of the YWCA and that programs provide culturally inclusive, trauma informed services which incorporate best practice techniques.
The Housing Director will oversee internal and external housing and housing-related programs, including permanent housing for single women and families, homeless shelter for families, Second Chance Apartment Project, Third Street, and Housing First programs including House-ability, Rapid Rehousing, Housing Locator and Empower Home. This position is responsible for Managing contracts, contract relationships, collaborations, partnerships, and MOUs that are essential to YWCA Housing programs.
This is a full-time (36 hours per week), salaried position. We offer an excellent benefits package.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in Housing related initiatives whose career has included experience in most or all of the following areas: development and implementation of program criteria and procedures, working with community agencies and businesses in developing new and innovative Housing Programs, awareness of changing needs of populations served and opportunities for appropriate staff training and inter-agency cooperation, keeping apprised of major funding opportunities that would support our housing programs and assist with grant writing, record keeping and supervision of staff. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required (CSW is a plus) with 3 years supervisory experience and 3 years relevant experience.
