Facilities Manager

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee building-related activities. The Facilities Manager is responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that YWCA facilities are safe and well-functioning. YWCA Madison has two locations: the Historic Belmont Hotel a 12-story, red brick, residential facility that also serves as our main administrative offices located on the Capitol square and our Empowerment Center with staff offices, program and training space located on Madison’s Southside.

The Facilities Manager will oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the agency’s facilities in addition to unit turn overs in our residential building. The goal is to ensure the facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the well-being of our tenants and agency business operations. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.

This is a full-time, salaried position requiring some evening and weekend hours. This position also has on-call responsibility for building emergencies. We offer an excellent benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will possess basic knowledge and experience with high-pressure steam boilers, building and fire codes, OSHA regulations, fire alarm systems and associated fire safety systems for residential buildings. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
