A Warm Welcome to Our New YWCA Madison 2025 Board Members!

Our commitment to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all is supported by an ecosystem that consists of staff, community partners, community members, and importantly, our Board of Directors. We are honored to welcome five new members to help guide our mission: kristy kumar, Jordan-Lindsay Morris, Brian Jones, April Kumapayi, and Luz Arroyo Calderon!

These leaders bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and experience from across our community, offering unique perspectives that will strengthen our collective work toward liberation with an intersectional race and gender equity lens.

Introducing Our New Board Members

Looking Ahead

We are excited for the leadership that kristy, Jordan, Brian, April, and Luz will bring. Together with our continuing board and staff, they will help YWCA Madison build stronger, more connected pathways for justice and liberation.

Thank You to Our Outgoing Board Members

As we welcome new leaders, we also want to honor and thank our outgoing board members for their years of dedication and service: Melissa Rubio, and Brenda Yang.

Their guidance has been instrumental in advancing YWCA Madison’s mission and strengthening our programs in housing justice, economic justice, restorative justice, and learning and movement building. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and heart they have shared with our community, and we know their impact will continue to resonate well into the future.
