What is YWeb
YWeb is an employment service program that trains women and people of color to become web developers/designers. The goal of the YWeb Career Academy is to increase diversity in this area of employment. Upon completion of the course, students will have opportunities to pursue full-time permanent employment, a paid internship, or a freelance career.
We prepare, position, and support individuals into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. Our free to enroll, in-person program provides the technical and soft skills required to gain and sustain real employment. Then, we partner with employers and educational institutions to help students find internships, continuing education, or full-time employment depending on what is the best next step.
This program will offer a $15/hr. Study Grant Payment to program participants for the time they dedicate to the class.
