YWCA Madison Circle Captains
THANK YOU for considering becoming a 2022 Circle Captain!
Circle Captains (previously Table Captains) are an integral part of YWCA Madison Circle’s success, and are also an integral part of YWCA Madison’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Many people ask, “what can I do?” to support racial justice in our community. Being a Circle Captain is a tangible way to raise critical funds for YWCA Madison, raise awareness in our community, and support one of Dane County’s largest organizations run by a Black woman leader in our community, Vanessa McDowell.
We promise you and your guests a memorable program and a rewarding experience. At the conclusion of the event, your guests will be asked to make a pledge of at least $100 to YWCA Madison. Contributions may be paid in different ways.
2022 VIRTUAL CIRCLE CAPTAINS COMMIT TO:
- Getting a minimum of 10 – 20 people to attend virtually and donate $100. (Because we are virtual, you can invite people from anywhere! So you can engage new people in the work of YWCA Madison. )
- Engage your guests before, during and after the event. About a 2 hour commitment on the day of the event. A Circle Captain hosted session (like a Zoom) is available for your guests and you. We hope you’ll host a Session!
- Share posts/emails about YWCA Madison Circle virtual event.
YWCA Madison Circle will take place virtually on February 16, 2022 from 11:30AM to 1:30PM.

Frequently Asked Questions About Being a Circle Captain
YWCA Madison’s Circle is an opportunity to gather your friends, family, and co-workers for an event to hear about how YWCA Madison helps our community, network with others, and become a financial supporter. It is an inspiring event. At the end of the event, guests are asked to make a pledge of at least $100 to the YWCA Madison. Given monthly, that’s just $8.33 to support life-changing YWCA Madison programs.
February 16, 2022
Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30PM
(The actual program will be around 45 minutes, with extra time to network and mingle in our virtual event platform.)
Location: On Our Virtual Hopin Platform
Our event in 2022 will be virtual, so you can attend from the comfort of your own home or workplace.
In mid-December, you will receive a Save the Date email/graphic to share with your invited guests. In January 2022, you will receive the details for the guest registration process.
As a Virtual Circle Captain, you will have access to a special room in our Hopin Platform. In this room, you can choose to have a private Zoom-style gathering for your guests before and after the event. Also, you’ll all be able to stay within the platform to access the main event and other interactive and fun features. This will be a great way to safely gather with community in the winter of 2022.
Do your best! Share the event on social media, invite your family and friends. We’ll provide you with information along the way to help you with recruiting your guests.
We will have a video recording of our event available soon after the 16th. This link can be shared with friends who were not able to attend.
Also, individuals who are not able to attend can still contribute to the transformational work of YWCA Madison. Donations can be made here. Thank you!
Yes! The event used to be called Circle of Women. This year, we have changed the name to YWCA Madison Circle to represent the many indviduals of all backgrounds who surround our mission.
