2024 Racial Justice Summit
Reflect | Connect | Create New Worlds
About the Summit ↘
Keynote Only Tickets can be purchased directly on RingCentral through September 26.
YWCA Madison’s Racial Justice Summit is among the largest multiracial, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary community gatherings in the United States annually. This year, the 2024 Racial Justice Summit will occur virtually on September 25-26 and in-person at Monona Terrace on September 27. You are invited to be a part of this growing community of people committed to racial justice (un)learning, collective healing, and liberation!
The theme for the 2024 Racial Justice Summit is Reflect, Connect, and Create New Worlds which builds on YWCA Madison’s values of Humanity, Community, Growth, and Restoration. Our theme is also inspired by the guiding metaphor of a kaleidoscope for how we as whole and interconnected beings practice building sustainable movements for justice and our collective liberation.
Come experience national authors, activists, and movement builders at the leading edge of racial justice such as Ijeoma Oluo, Prentis Hemphill, Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz, Vera Naputi, Ruth King, Kazu Haga, Autumn Brown, and David Dean who will offer inspiring insights, stories, and wisdom through virtual keynotes and robust in-person institutes. The Summit will include opportunities to experience curated sessions that engage participants in community dialogue, practice, and action-envisioning co-created by local practitioners. Creative works from musicians, spoken word artists, and visual artists, will be also featured throughout the summit experience to highlight the resilience, joy, and love birthed from within our movements.

Why Attend the Racial Justice Summit ↘
The Summit is both a unique professional development opportunity for staff across organizations while also offering opportunities for multiracial and intergenerational dialogue and collective visioning across multiple justice movements: restorative justice, gender justice, healing justice, immigration justice, disability justice, climate justice, economic justice, organizational change for equity, and more. We also are committed to engaging youth and young adults as key members of the community and amplifying their insights and vision in shaping the future.
We strongly believe that YWCA Madison’s holistic approach to justice, integrating the wisdom of the mind, heart, body, and spirit has transformative possibilities in supporting attendees on their personal racial justice journey of learning, unlearning, and healing, ultimately transforming relationships, cultures, and systems for justice.
