Ways To Give

While our community faces challenges, we also hold the power to shape a brighter future together. What if each of us took the time to see our neighbors in full? How might our community transform? Thank you for considering using your philanthropic power to show your commitment to a future where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and every individual thrives.

“We are showered every day with gifts, but they are not meant for us to keep. Their life is in their movement, the inhale and the exhale of our shared breath. Our work and our joy is to pass along the gift and to trust that what we put out into the universe will always come back.”

  • Monthly Giving

Becoming a monthly donor is one of the most powerful ways to support a mission you believe in. Your ongoing commitment provides steady, reliable funding that allows us to plan ahead, respond to urgent needs, and sustain the life-changing programs that drive our work every day. Monthly gifts—no matter the size—add up to a lasting impact, helping us build a more just and equitable community for all. With your continued support, we can go beyond today and invest in deep, transformative change. Together, we can make a difference—month after month.

  • Stock Donations

Donating stock is a great option for many individuals. A stock donation supports our mission while maximizing your impact and potential tax benefits. By giving appreciated securities, you may avoid capital gains taxes and be eligible to deduct the full fair market value—allowing you to give more at no additional cost.

YWCA Madison is able to shift a stock gift into cash and utilize it to make an immediate impact on our community.

  • Legacy Giving

Members of YWCA Madison’s Legacy Society are individuals who are part of the history of YWCA Madison and want to do more for the future by leaving a gift from their estate. These thoughtful and passionate people plan to leave the world a better place through their legacy gifts. With a legacy gift, individuals of even modest means can help preserve and expand the mission and work of YWCA Madison for future generations.

  • Donor Advised Funds

If you have a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), recommending a grant to our organization is a powerful way to turn your philanthropic vision into real-world impact. Your gift from a DAF can help sustain and grow programs that advance equity, support our community, and create lasting change. It’s an easy and effective way to make a difference—leveraging the resources you’ve already set aside for good. By choosing to support our mission through your DAF, you’re helping to build a more just and compassionate future for all.

  • Honorary and Memorial Gifts

We would be honored to steward your donation in honor or memory of someone in your life. Philanthropy is a way to mark a special occasion or celebrate someone in your life. When making a donation on our online form, you will have the opportunity to tell us about dedicating your gift. When mailing in a donation, share a note about the dedication.

  • IRA Contributions

If you’re 70½ or older, making a gift to our organization directly from your IRA is a meaningful and tax-smart way to create impact. An IRA charitable rollover—also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)—allows you to donate up to $100,000 per year without increasing your taxable income. Your gift will go straight to work advancing our mission, helping us create lasting change and support the community we serve. It’s a powerful way to use your retirement savings to build a more just, equitable future—while potentially reducing your tax burden at the same time.

At YWCA Madison, our Development and Marketing team is deeply committed to advancing our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. We are here to build meaningful connections, raise vital resources, and share the powerful stories that drive our work forward. Whether we’re engaging donors, amplifying community voices, or crafting messages that reflect our values, everything we do is rooted in service to our mission. We’re proud to support every corner of the organization—and we’re here to help you connect, contribute, and be part of lasting change.
