YWCA Madison is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen our community. For over 109 years we’ve been at the forefront of the most pressing social movements — from civil rights to racial justice, from affordable housing to pay equity, from youth divergence to school discipline reform. We combine programming and advocacy in order to generate institutional change in three key areas: race and gender equity, job training and transportation, and housing and shelter.

Your donation to YWCA Madison will strengthen our programs and services, and fund robust advocacy efforts to educate and partner on policies that advance our critical mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.

Empowerment Society members truly support the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. They’ve turned that passion into a long-term commitment to moving our work forward by making a five-year annual pledge of $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000. By making a multi-year pledge, the YWCA can count on incoming, sustained funding.

Empowerment Society members enjoy several benefits.

  • Invitations to special Empowerment Society events throughout the year.
  • Special recognition in the YWCA annual report.
  • Opportunities to meet with the YWCA CEO.
  • Invitations to special program activities such as program graduation ceremonies and speaker’s receptions.
  • No additional solicitations throughout the year, but members will be included in event ticket mailings.
